Women's movement

The women's movement includes associations and initiatives - law homework help , the members of which come together in more or less fixed organizational forms and publicly campaign for their equality in the political, economic, cultural and social fields.

The German women's movement can be divided into two phases: The first phase began in the 1840s and ended in 1933. The second period began in 1945. As part of the student protests, the “new” women's movement emerged at the end of the 1960s. A comparable “new” women's movement emerged later in the GDR; this worked closely with the opposition peace movement.

The women’s question has led to institutionalized women’s research in the university and non-university area - social studies homework helper . This branch of research is currently referred to by the term gender studies .

Development of the women's movement

The German women's movement comprises two phases. The first women's movement began in the 1840s and ended in 1933. During this period there were two main currents: the bourgeois and the proletarian women's movement, associated with the names Louise Otto-Peters (1819–1895) and Clara Zetkin (1857–1933) will. In the late 19th century women had neither the right to work nor the right to equal education - pay people to do your homework . The women's movement therefore called for more formal rights in the educational and social spheres. When the National Socialists came to power in 1933, the women's movement dissolved in order to avoid political conformity.

The second epoch begins in 1945: new women's groups are founded, others from the period before 1933 are revived and come together under the umbrella organization “German Women's Council” .

The “new” women's movement emerged as part of the student protests at the end of the 1960s. This differs from the established women's movement through a loose form of organization and a socially critical approach.
